Call to Order 1:03 PM by VP Michael Goldberg
February 5th Wine and Cheese had a good turnout of 52 attendees.
Wendy’s report sent by email shows $1895 for income, $2156.23 for expenses and a net loss of $260.23 for this event. Two things affected it, the higher-than-expected rental of tableware and prizes.
We are already committed to TSS and WCC for 2023 with the deposits but in the future need to explore free places such as libraries.
Committees should have a list of volunteers ahead of time instead of asking on that day. Committee Chair should make regular reports including budget to the Board well ahead of the event.
Sponsorships need to be requested more often for each event from not only Deaf-related but also Jewish -related organizations.
Passover 2nd night Seder registration and flyer will go out this week.
May event – some concerns about Hilary doing the murder mystery game, perhaps do a Trivia game as a backup. Still need a Chair so Joy needs to make calls as soon as possible in March.
Look into hosting a Jewish movie event, need to check technology to ensure captions/subtitles will show up on screen/wall.
BHSD donation letter to be discussed right after Joy returns due to the early March deadline.
Reminder the next regular Board meeting is March 22 at Joy’s house.
